Ok so does hearing the word alkaline remind you about chemistry class? Well in a way that’s good, if you remember the basic premise, alkaline means to be in a basic state versus acidic, but did you know your body is meant to be alkaline? I sure didn’t.
Turns out the way we eat today with so much processed foods and the stress we endure on a day to day basis turns our body acidic. The problem with this is when our body is acidic, it promotes an enviroment that cancer can grow in but in an alkaline environment, it’s impossible for cancer to grow. So how do you keep your body alkaline, well for one, foods have different acidy and alkaline levels which I will list in a second but the easiest way to keep your body alkaline is to drink alkaline water.
Problem is all bottled water is neutral or slightly acidic which you can measure taking an ordinary pH test strip. Water can be made more alkaline using a filter, which until recently, was only available in expensive Japanese filtration systems. These are great for installing in your kitchen or bathroom, but for on the go drinking water I recommend Santevia’s Energy flask which can be purchased for $40.
